Will Bequest

By remembering the Presentation Sisters with a bequest in your will, you can support the mission and ministries of the congregation beyond your years. Many people find they can make a more generous gift through a will bequest than they can comfortably during their lifetime. In addition, your bequest will qualify you for an estate tax charitable deduction.

Before you make a will bequest, we advise you to contact your attorney or advisors for advice, as well as the Development Office at (845)567-0204.

Here is an example of standard language for a will bequest to the Presentation Sisters:

I (we) give to the Sisters of the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Inc., New Windsor, NY, the sum of $_________ (or percent of the residue of my (our) estate or other personal property appropriately described) to be used for its general purposes.

Planned Gifts

Some donors support the Presentation Sisters through planned gifts, which help build the congregation's endowment. Endowments provide religious congregations, like the Presentation Sisters, with ongoing income essential for ensuring the future of their ministries. There are many types of planned gifts, including will bequests, charitable trusts and gifts of life insurance and real estate. Planned gifts allow you to provide meaningful support to the congregation and its members, many of whom have been important to your life and the lives of your family members, while reducing your tax burden and benefiting your heirs.
